Relevance to theme - 1: The Blue Heron is a prevalent Maryland species, specifically along the AFF and Piscataway boardwalk. The land is inherently beautiful, but its wildlife acts as ornaments highlighting our home's best features. This driftwood was sourced from the Potomac shore during a river cleanup, and the fabric is entirely upcycled.

Relevance to theme - 2: The quiet stream under Apple Valley is a mid-autumn wonder. This wall-hanging captures a fleeting moment of rest along my walks. Unwanted jewelry and riverglass were crafted to loosely mimic the water, while the driftwood from the Potomac represents the fallen trees.
