Relevance to theme - 1: This monoprint using colored slips is fired onto 100% hand-dug Maryland clay - my special muse. The Rudbeckias are Maryland’s State Flower. The crack and the fading blooms are the muse’s messages on what we stand to lose if we don’t open our eyes to what is happening around us right now.
