De-stress with a relaxing watercolor meditation workshop
Saturday, March 14, 2026 10am-12pm
Discover a new way to reduce your stress, calm your mind, and explore creative color with watercolor meditation, a workshop led by AAA artist Jan Buelow.
Accompanied by relaxing classical music, you will experience the spontaneous and playful joy of watercolor painting that skips realistic rendering and simply flows with color.
Stretch your imagination as art's most unpredictable medium creates a unique abstraction under your brush. No drawing skill, prior watercolor experience or other painting background is needed for this workshop. Bring your favorite watercolor supplies, if you like, or simply take advantage of the supplies provided.

Jan Buelow retired from her first passion of nursing in 2020 and found a new passion in
watercolor painting. Creating art nearly every day for the past 5 years, she has studied
at the Art League School in Alexandria and has shown her work in a number of local
shows, including AAA shows, open shows, and juried competitions at the Mattawoman
Creek Art Center, Harmony Hall Regional Center and the Torpedo Factory. "There is
nothing I love more than exploring the unpredictability of watercolors, " Jan said.
